2 Corinthians 5:10 – The Judgement

Date: Friday, 19th June 2026, 2.00pm
Theme: The Judgement
Bible verse: 2 Corinthians 5:10
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.”
Question: What is your personal response to this verse?
There are many bible verses related in various ways to judgement:
• The future event promised in the Old Testament times as “The day of the Lord”;
• This has come to be known as the Final Judgement;
• The return of Jesus in glory;
• Jesus’ role as the final Judge of all humanity;
• Jesus’ promises about this day for those who follow Him;
• The establishment of God’s righteousness and justice;
I have shown some of these below, more than enough to keep us busy with reading, and our reflections on our verse can only be an introduction to the topic.
But the essential focus is your response to God’s promises concerning judgement, and how it affects you.

For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
