Verse: Acts 26:20 (NKJV) – (I declared) “that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.”

We are saved through faith, and not by works.

Ephesians 2:8-10, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Slaves & masters, obey your earthly masters , with deep respect & fear . Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ . Try to please them all the time , not just when they are watching you . As slaves of Christ do the will of God with all your heart. Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do whether we are slaves or free.

Do your best at work for God is your boss.

Ephesians 6:5-7, “Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,”

Put on salvation as your helmet & take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of GOD.

Ephesians 6:17, “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Hard work is honoured by God. Genesis 31: 30-42.

God has given us skills to honour him.

Exodus 36:1, “… and every skilled person to whom the Lord has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded.

Being weary can cause us to lose perspective and makes us more susceptible to SIN; in such times we need to look to GOD who can bolster our strength with his powerful presence . We should not tire of doing good.

Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

We are to be strong in the power God offers.

Galatians 6:10, “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

To find wisdom, first find GOD.

Proverbs 2:6-12

6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7 He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
8 for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.

9 Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.
11 Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.

12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,

AMEN.
